Royal Albert produced this pattern from 1969 to 1997, twenty-eight years of pink rose clusters trailing across luminous cream bone china on the classic Montrose shape. An elaborate gilt border frames the edge, its own small pattern of leaves and roses pressed in gold. The ground between the garlands is clean and open. Nothing crowded. Nothing demanding. Just roses, repeating, the way a good wallpaper does in a room that feels right.

It was produced as a full dinner service, which meant people built complete sets and kept them. The kind of china that came out for the occasions that deserved it.
