Teardrop. A rose caught from below, looking up.

The teardrop shape does something interesting to this piece. The china fragment inside it is small, and the rose it holds is seen from an unusual angle, the deep crimson centre right at the bottom of the frame, lighter pink petals fanning upward and outward toward the gold wire. It feels like looking into a bloom from underneath, which isn't something you'd normally think to do.

The gold wire frame is open, hand-formed, with the characteristic neat wrap at the top. Delicate without being fragile. The chain is fine gold and it moves well.

A small piece. A quiet one. The kind you notice up close.
