This one has air in it. The top of the fragment is mostly soft blue sky, and a branch comes in from the right, thin and brown, with pink blossom breaking out along it and a few green leaves just starting. It's the moment just before full bloom. The orchard waking up rather than the orchard at its peak.

The silver teardrop frame is hand-formed wire with a neat wrap at the top, the same scattered china pieces arranged nearby in the photo as if the plate is still telling its story in fragments.
