Brigadoon

Teardrop. One thistle, stem and bloom, close up.

This fragment caught the thistle from the middle. The stem comes in from the top, green and reaching, and the bloom sits at the bottom of the frame, blue and soft, the feathery fronds of it spreading outward the way thistles do when they're past their peak and perfectly themselves. The white ground gives it room. Nothing crowded, nothing competing.
