Brigadoon

Oval. Blue thistle, stem and leaves, horizontal across the frame.

Where BD_2 caught the thistle head-on, this one caught it sideways. The stem runs across the width of the fragment, leaves splaying outward in both directions, and the blue bloom sits at the bottom right, soft and rounded, the fronds of it just beginning to open. It's a more botanical view of the pattern. Less decorative, more like something observed in a field.

The oval silver frame sits horizontally, hand-formed wire with a neat wrap at the top. It works with the composition rather than fighting it.

One of the quieter pieces in this collection. It rewards a closer look.
