Cascade Roses by Queen Anne Oval. One deep rose, one bud, side by side.

This fragment kept it simple. A fully open rose sits at the bottom of the frame, deep pink, petals layered and round. Just above it a smaller bud leans in from the left, lighter in colour, not quite ready. The two together tell the whole story of the pattern in a very small space.

The silver oval frame is a cooler contrast to the warm pinks of the china than the gold of QA_3, and it works differently for it. Fresher. A little more modern feeling, though the roses themselves are anything but.
