This fragment caught the pattern mid-arrangement. A pink rose sits at the centre, open but not fully, with a bud just above it and green leaves filling the spaces between. The yellow-cream ground of the china shows through more here than in the other cuts, giving the whole thing a warmth that the white-ground pieces don't have. It reads as sunlit.

The gold frame suits it exactly. Warm wire against a warm ground, the pink roses sitting between them comfortably. On a gold chain this one has a vintage quality that feels deliberate.
