It's A Small World Oval, The Derrick, Silver

Oval. An oil derrick, black on white, standing exactly as it would have stood.

No colour, no softness. Just a clean line drawing of the thing itself, precise enough that someone clearly knew what a derrick looked like and wanted to get it right. This came from a souvenir piece, the kind made to say: this is here, this is ours, this matters. In Alberta, that sentiment needs no explanation.

Set in bright silver wire, hand-formed into an oval frame with a looped bale at the top. The white ground is stark and clean. The derrick fills it quietly.
