He wears a dark coat and a flat-brimmed hat, she wears pink, her bonnet tipped just so. He holds a walking stick between them. They stand close, the way people do when they have been close a long time and don't think about it anymore. The rendering is transfer print with hand-applied colour, sepia and rose on white, the kind of careful work that takes a steady hand and means it.
