It's A Small World Round, The Bison of Island Park, Gold

Round. A bison, mid-stride, in full colour.

He is brown and solid, the way bison are, moving across rocky ground with a stand of small conifers at his back. The words Island Park sit just below his feet, still legible, still placing him exactly where he belongs. This fragment came from a souvenir piece, the kind made to remember a place. It remembers it well.

Set in antique gold wire, hand-formed into a round frame with a looped bale at the top. The white ground keeps the image clean. The bison fills most of it, which feels right. He is not the kind of animal that leaves much room for anything else.
