Here the water gets its own green shoreline, circling the little pond completely rather than fading off at the edges. The two ducks paddle low and close together near the centre, cattails standing guard on either side and one pink blossom drifting above. Wider than it is tall, the oval lets the whole scene sit level, water and grass and sky all getting their fair share of room.
