Moonlight Rose Rectangle, The Blue and the Deeper Blue, Gold

Two roses, very close. A softer blue bloom at the top, a deeper navy one below it, the petals almost touching the edges of the frame. Very little white ground left. The cut came in tight and the gold frame holds all of that blue with a warmth that has no business working as well as it does against a cool palette. And yet.
