Three birch trunks rise through the centre of the round frame, pale and dark-marked, the lake soft and blue behind them. Below, the wildflowers fill the foreground completely: pink, blue, orange, gold, a whole meadow caught in a circle. The most complete view of the scene in any of the Silver Birch pendants. Everything the pattern was trying to say, in one cut.
