The daisies here don't line up. They drift, solid ones and outlined ones mixed together across the lower half of the circle, with a loose cluster of dots above them and open white space at the top. The composition has that particular quality of something caught mid-movement, flowers spreading out rather than sitting still. A warm gold frame around olive green and white. It works the way it always did on a kitchen table in the 1970s, simply and without fuss.
