Blossom Time

Rounded rectangle. Pure blossom, nothing but pink.

No trunk, no path, no sky to speak of. This fragment went straight to the flowers. A full cluster of apple blossom fills the frame, pink and white and impossibly soft, with just enough green leaf showing to remind you it's growing on something. The background is the palest blue-white. The whole thing looks like a watercolour that happened to survive on china for ninety years.

The silver frame is a neat rounded rectangle, close-fitting, with a simple loop at the top rather than a wire wrap. Clean and modern against a very old subject.

The broken pieces arranged around it in the photo tell their own story. Same pattern, cut differently every time.
