The backstamp, full and clear. Royal Albert in red, Bone China England in green, and Sweet Violets in that looping script beneath, with a small violet cluster printed right above the name exactly as it appeared on the base of every genuine piece made from 1966 onward. The whole mark, intact, set into a gold oval frame. Collectors know immediately what they're seeing. Everyone else just sees something unusually beautiful and wants to know what it says.

It's the provenance, worn. The proof that this china was real, that it came from somewhere, that someone thought it worth marking carefully. Not many pendants can say that quite so directly.
