Tranquillity

Royal Albert produced Tranquillity from 1969 to 1998. Nearly three decades of soft pink roses and grey scrollwork on luminous white bone china. Some patterns earn their long run. Tranquillity was one of them.

The roses on this pendant are full and generous, three blooms that settle into the frame like they were always meant to be there. A soft scatter of blue blossoms touches the upper corner, barely there but sweetly so. The grey scrollwork whispers in at the edges, giving the whole composition a sense of quiet balance.

The setting is a smooth antique gold bezel, solid and warm, shaped to follow the rounded edges of the china. It has the feeling of something old and considered, like a locket passed between generations. It dresses a gold chain beautifully. Worn together, it feels like something passed down with intention.
