The symbol comes first, that sharp angular M with its upward sting, white against the warm brown ground. Below it the scorpion, detailed and still, tail pulled in close, every segment clear. SCORPIO along the bottom, named plainly, the way the plate always did it. No ambiguity. No softening. Just the sign, stated.

Brown from a year when Alfred Meakin chose that colour, and it suits Scorpio particularly well. Warm but serious. The gold frame around it doesn't try to lighten the mood. It just holds everything steady.
