Zodiac Tombstone, Cancer, Gold

Brown. The whole fragment is that warm reddish-brown that only came around some years, and against it the crab stands out white and unhurried, every leg accounted for. The Cancer symbol sits above it, clean and simple. The word CANCER runs along the bottom in its own small strip, as if the plate wanted to make absolutely sure you knew.

The shape is a tapered rectangle, wider at the shoulders, narrowing toward the base. It suits the sign. There is something a little architectural about it, a little considered.

A hairline crack runs through the fragment. Visible if you look for it. Part of the history now, not separate from it.

Set in a hypoallergenic aluminum frame finished in gold, with a hand-formed wire bale at the top. Comes with an 18" gold chain. $40 CAD.
