Royal Albert produced this pattern from 1966 to 2001, thirty-five years of loose violet clusters on luminous white bone china. The flowers appear in little bundles, soft purple with white centres and green leaves, scattered across the surface the way real violets fall when someone has just gathered a handful and set them down. Silver trim at the rims. Nothing loud. Nothing demanding. Just a pattern that knew exactly what it was and stayed that way for three and a half decades.

We find these pieces now, cups and plates that have already lived full lives, and we see what they still have to offer. Each pendant begins with a carefully chosen fragment of genuine Royal Albert Sweet Violets china, selected for where the violet cluster landed, how the leaves sit, what the cut caught. Set into a hypoallergenic aluminum frame, finished in gold or silver, with a hand-formed wire bale at the top. No two are the same. They can't be.

The violet has been carrying meaning for centuries. Faithfulness. Modesty. Thoughts occupied with love. There's history in this little flower that the china barely has room to hold.
